In an era when salt naturally found its place within easy reach in the kitchen, this wall-mounted box was a part of daily life. Made by the Dutch manufacturer Petrus Regout of Maastricht, it combines luminous white earthenware with a blue decoration inspired by the Delftware tradition, complemented by an elegant hinged wooden lid. Designed to be hung on the wall thanks to its integrated bracket, it effectively protects its contents while adding a true decorative touch. Its simple yet warm design fits equally well in a country kitchen, a vintage, or a contemporary interior. Founded in 1834, the Petrus Regout manufactory established itself as one of the great names in Dutch earthenware. Its products, valued for their quality and robustness, are today sought after by collectors of tableware and retro decor. The inscription "sal" on the inside confirms its original purpose. In very good condition, with shiny earthenware and a wooden lid with a beautiful, aged patina. Height approximately 20 cm, diameter approximately 10 cm, depth approximately 11 cm including the bracket.
