Product description
With its clean lines, warm teak, and slender base, this bookcase strongly evokes the designs of Peter Hvidt. Crafted from solid teak in the 1960s, its open compartments offer ample space for books, ceramics, and cherished finds. It creates a tranquil setting for all those treasured possessions that lend character to a home. Pieces of this high-quality, solid construction are extremely rare today. The precisely executed dovetail joints along the edges are particularly striking. They securely connect the top and sides, making the handcrafted construction a visible design element. The shelves are height-adjustable and feature a groove in the center, allowing them to slide directly onto the shelf supports. This conceals the supports completely, preserving the clean lines of the bookcase. The small shelf supports fit snugly in their holes and may require a gentle tap with a hammer when repositioning the bookcase. The bookshelf is in very good, refurbished condition with minor signs of age-related wear. Dimensions: H 100cm, W 120cm, D 29cm
