The Pen Club is a design that’s a clear French-Korean interpretation on the Le Corbusier (LC) series design. Designed in 1969 by Kwok Hoi Chan, a Korean designer who did major design work for Steiner. Chan took the LC as a basis and refined it into a more playful design, with thinner and strongly curved frame, a low placement of the frame compared to the body and a higher body distance from the ground. This is why the design seems to float, further reinforced by the unique shape of the frame. The result is a playful sofa that provides loads of comfort and a very well build quality combined with a form of lightness from a visual aspect. This rare 3 seater Pen Club has another advantage; it combines a full 3 seater configuration with relatively compact dimensions. The leather is a creme white. The original Steiner markings are present. The sofa is in really good original condition with some small discolouration.
