Postmodern Cube Chair design: Radboud Van Beekum. Produced by PASTOE eighties black metal with black canvas. About Pastoe The Utrechtsche Stoel- en Meubelfabriek (UMS) was founded on 13 April 1913 in Utrecht. Entrepreneur Frits Loeb (1889-1959) first sold his chairs at the Ganzenmarkt in Utrecht. UMS is growing fast and is becoming a large factory with furniture production and sales locations throughout the country. After the Second World War, the company sold furniture under a different brand name: PasToe (passe partout). During that period, Cees Braakman succeeds his father as manager and designer. From the beginning Pastoe has been making furniture for the general public. In the 1950s, Pastoe focused on storage furniture and cabinets, and later chairs were also produced. The starting point always remains: pure design and traditional quality. Height 62 cm Seat height 39 cm Width 61 cm Depth 69 cm In a very good vintage condition. Three pieces present. Price is per armchair.
