A magnificent pair of Wassily chairs, designed by Marcel Breuer in 1925 when he was head of the Bauhaus.
This chair was revolutionary for its time, as it is made of bent tubular steel and leather, inexpensive materials at the time. The manufacturing method is also very ingenious and therefore easy to reproduce.
It was first mass-produced by Gavina in the 1940s and then by Knoll International in the 1990s.
Both chairs are in very good vintage condition. They have no damage or missing parts.
They do, however, show some signs of wear consistent with age, but above all, they possess a beautiful patina.
