For sale is a pair of touch-sensitive bedside lamps designed by Bauhaus designer Marianne Brandt in the 1930s for the Ruppel Works in Gotha, and later manufactured until the 1960s by Ruppel's successor, the Gotha Metal Goods Factory.
The lamps are brass-plated and in very good, age-appropriate condition. The large touch switches are made of white Bakelite. The shades are made of marbled beige opal glass and can be swiveled via a joint with a locking screw. The lamps are in their original condition and fully functional.
The lamps are sold only as a pair and not individually; the price is for both lamps.
