For sale is a pair of touch-sensitive bedside lamps designed by Bauhaus designer Marianne Brandt in the 1930s for the Ruppel Works in Gotha, and later manufactured by Ruppel's successor, the Gotha Metal Goods Factory, until the 1960s.
The lamps are made of brass and are in very good, age-appropriate condition. The large touch switches are made of white Bakelite. The lampshades, made of marbled beige opal glass, can be swiveled via a joint with a locking screw. The lamps have been thoroughly cleaned, are in their original condition, and are fully functional.
The lamps are sold only as a pair and not individually; the price is for both lamps.
