Pair of three-light tripod candlesticks in gilt brass, with organic floral decoration inspired by the arum lily, European handcrafted circa 1960–1970, in good overall condition with original patina, sold together.
The brass has an old golden patina, slightly darkened by natural oxidation, characteristic of pieces left untreated for several decades. The construction, using welded rods, gives the pieces a visual lightness despite the material's solidity. The formal vocabulary—organic curves and stylized plants—is in keeping with the Art Nouveau style, reinterpreted here in a more restrained and industrial style typical of European production in the 1960s.
Suitable for use as a table, mantelpiece, or interior decoration.
