Pair of iconic "Snowball" blown glass candlesticks, designed by Ann Wolff for the Swedish manufacturer Kosta Boda starting in 1973.
More than just a candlestick, the Snowball model has become a classic of Scandinavian design. It is said to have originated from an experiment involving blowing hot glass directly into a pile of snow, resulting in its organic shape and irregular surface reminiscent of a snowball. Its texture captures and diffuses the candlelight in a soft and warm way, evoking childhood snow lanterns and long Nordic winter evenings.
Both candlesticks are in very good overall condition. Note: a few tiny chips on the underside of one of them, discreet and not visible when in use.
Sold as a pair.
