German design classics in very good original condition with only minor signs of age and use. Grey molded plywood seat and backrests with chrome-plated tubular steel frames. Designed by Egon Eiermann and produced by Wilde + Spieth, the SE68 is among the most celebrated classics of German Mid-Century Modern furniture design.
Since its introduction in the 1950s, it has been appreciated for its clear architectural lines, functional lightness and remarkable seating comfort. The combination of a shaped plywood shell and a chrome-plated tubular steel frame gives the chair its characteristic understated elegance and makes the chair a versatile design classic to this day – equally suited to dining spaces, work environments and modern interiors.
The chairs offered here are original vintage pieces from Wilde + Spieth production and remain in very good original condition. They show only minor signs of wear consistent with age, are fully functional, and retain their authentic vintage character.
