A pair of Italian bedside cabinets from the 1970s, representing the refined aesthetic of Italian Modern design. The set maintains the stylistic coherence typical of that era — lightness of form combined with sophisticated finishing details. The construction relies on furniture board veneered in mahogany, whose warm tones contrast with darker finishing elements. The drawer fronts feature subtly curved edges, lending dynamism to the geometric forms and softening their angular character. Solid wood legs, slender and tapering downward, reinforce the sense of lightness throughout. Metal tips on the leg ends add an accent characteristic of Italian design sensibility from this period. Italian furniture design of the 1970s developed at the intersection of craftsmanship and industry. Designers combined traditional woodworking techniques with modern materials and forms, creating pieces with distinctive character yet adapted for serial production.
