This pair of armchairs is the Agnes model, a well-known Hungarian furniture design from 1979, here in faux leather upholstery. The Agnes was one of the defining lounge furniture designs of late-Socialist Hungarian production, recognisable for its button-tufted back and generous, enveloping proportions. This pair offers a cohesive seating addition to a living room or alongside a sofa.
Condition and Character
Heavy signs of use across the pair, with wear to the arms and backs and several buttons missing. The faux leather upholstery shows heavy, age-appropriate wear across the arms and back panels, and several buttons from the tufted detailing are missing.
