Product description
Charming pair of hand-painted Chinese porcelain quails, vintage 1960s-1970s. Glazed porcelain with a stylized, raised decoration of plumage in shades of pink, blue, and purple, outlined in fine black. Both pieces are marked "Made in China" and have unidentified characters on the base.
The larger quail measures 13cm long, 12.5cm high, and approximately 11cm wide; the smaller one measures 12cm long, 9cm high, and approximately 8cm wide. They are in very good overall condition, with no cracks or chips. The only visible signs of age are some patina and old soiling in the raised areas. The larger quail weighs approximately 375g and the smaller one approximately 325g.
