MATCHING PAIR OF ORIGINAL ERCO 54 090 WALL LIGHTS
A matching set of two original wall lights manufactured by ERCO Leuchten GmbH, model 54 090, dating from the 1960s.
Each lamp features a substantial transparent moulded-glass shade with a distinctive geometric bubble and relief texture. When illuminated, the deeply formed glass refracts the light beautifully, creating warm reflections and a soft, atmospheric glow.
The pair offers many arrangement possibilities. The lamps can be installed symmetrically on either side of a mirror, artwork, doorway, bed or architectural feature, or positioned together along a hallway, staircase or feature wall.
Their compact, sculptural design makes them suitable for both residential and commercial interiors, including living rooms, bedrooms, dining areas, entrances, hotels, restaurants, galleries and offices.
CONDITION
Both lamps are in very good vintage condition.
The transparent glass shades are in excellent condition, without chips, cracks or other damage.
The metal mounting bases show light age-related scratches and small areas of dark or black patina. These traces are minor and consistent with the authentic age and character of the lamps.
The lamps have been carefully cleaned to remove surface dirt and superficial rust. A small amount of original dark patina remains on the metal bases.
The ceramic E14 lamp holders are in good condition. The main components are original. Any replaced rubber cable grommet is a minor safety-related service part and does not affect the appearance or vintage character of the lamps.
As these are original vintage pieces, slight differences in patina and signs of age may occur between the two lamps. Please review all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
