This pair of carver chairs is made in the Dauphiné style, an expression of traditional French rustic furniture. The chairs are distinguished by their robust solid wood construction and characteristic straw seat, which evokes a sober and timeless elegance. The frame is entirely made of dark-stained solid wood, assembled with the artisanal technique of mortise and tenon joints, guaranteeing solidity and durability. The seat is made of hand-woven straw, according to traditional methods. Originally purchased from Suzuki in Milan, these chairs bear a manufacturer's mark, visible as a fire stamp with the initials "GC" on one of the armrests. The chairs are in good general condition, with an authentic patina that testifies to their history and accentuates their character. The structure is solid and the straw seats are intact and functional, showing the typical charm of well-preserved antique furniture.
