Authentic pair of 19th-century Napoleon III style three-light table or mantelpiece candelabra in an eclectic French style. These decorative candelabra faithfully reproduce the neoclassical codes of the Louis XVI style. The base features a Louis XVI style inspired by 18th-century creations for the royal court. The base is a truncated pyramidal shape with canted corners, richly chiseled with garlands and hanging pearls, draped in a festoon, and adorned with a central oval medallion. Background finish with a period-appropriate matte granular texture designed to highlight the brilliance of the polished reliefs.
Origin and manufacturing technique: France. Characteristic of Parisian art workshops and bronze casters of the second half of the 19th century. Material: Genuine art bronze from an old foundry with a high copper content. This noble alloy reveals magnificent warm, pinkish reflections within the base. Handcrafted using traditional sand casting techniques. The hollow interior of the base retains its foundry grains and casting beads, a testament to its antique authenticity.
