We present this spectacular and rare pair of Italian wrought iron headboards dating back to the early 19th century. Their stylistic features place them within the typical Northern Italian production of the city of Genoa.
They feature elaborate wrought iron decorations with numerous curls, scrolls, and brass knobs. The iron is entirely handcrafted, as evidenced by the numerous detailed photos that highlight the craftsmanship (see hand-hammered nails). The iron is embellished with hand-painted gold ornamental details, adding a unique visual touch. Furthermore, the central medallions feature a delightful hand-painted floral decoration, each headboard unique. They are in good condition with signs of wear consistent with their age (see all photos). Please note that for an item like this, any signs of wear are a characteristic that enhances its value and distinctive character.
