By Britt Kleiberg 1980, Amersfoort. Studio located in Harderwijk. Britt paints animals from all over the world with a story. She graduated in Graphic Design and Styling before finding her calling in contemporary art. Born into a family with a healthy interest in art, she came into contact with art early on and started painting when she was 10 years old. She enjoyed visiting museums and is grateful for the early education she received. It has given her the background for her current journey as a contemporary artist. Positivity, colors, and freedom to move. The use of color is an important part of her artistic vocabulary: 'Colors make people happy, and I want to bring joy and positivity into the world.' Her color palette can depict an animal's natural environment, the hunt, or an emotion; depending on what she wants to communicate. And however subdued it may be, the background is part of it. She uses small shapes of color to 'fill' her animals. These represent imaginary continents and can depict areas where the animal belongs, or where it wants to be.
