Beautiful portrait of a Marsh Tit from a series of 'passport portraits', painted in combination with sheet music. This painting was made quite recently in 2024. This painting is a continuation of a series of portraits of Dutch birds, made during the corona period. This inspired me to look at nature through a magnifying glass. Enlarging the small! Painted by Britt Kleiberg 1980, Amersfoort Studio located in Harderwijk Britt paints animals from all over the world with a story. During the corona period she has put extra spotlight on Dutch birds! - She graduated in Graphic Design and Styling before finding her calling in contemporary art. Born into a family with a healthy interest in art, she came into contact with art at an early age and started painting when she was 10 years old. She loved going to museums and is grateful for the early education she received. It has given her the background for her current journey as a contemporary artist. Positivity, colours and freedom to roam The use of colour is an important part of her artistic vocabulary: "Colours make people happy and I want to bring joy and positivity into the world. Her colour palette can represent an animal's natural environment, a hunt or an emotion; depending on what she wants to communicate. And however more subdued, the background is also part of this. She uses strange little shapes of colour to 'fill' her animals. These represent imaginary continents," she explains, "and can represent the areas where the animal belongs, or where it wants to be. In my artistic world, anything is possible.
