The Ox Chair is more than just a chair. It's a sculpture, a timeless and iconic design by Danish top designer Hans J. Wegner from 1960. The wide, abstract horns that give the chair its name are inspired by the work of Wegner's contemporary, Pablo Picasso. The Ox Chair invites you to relax, with or without your feet propped up on the ottoman. A wonderful reading chair.
The example offered for sale was made by Erik Jørgensen Møbelfabrik in 2003. A highly handcrafted product, requiring approximately forty hours of manual labor. It is upholstered in black leather, which is in good condition with only minor damage. A new example in this version costs over €15,000. Only rarely offered for sale secondhand.
