A very rare, handcrafted chair from the Orkney Islands (Scotland). Centuries ago, these chairs were built from driftwood gathered from the beach. The chairs were kept close to the ground so the occupants could sit under the smoke of the fireplace. The wicker and rushes ensure that all the heat remains inside the chair. Very comfortable and cozy. This chair is likely from the 1970s and is now in very good and, above all, usable condition. Signs of wear: Dents, discoloration, scratches.
