This original String shelving unit was designed by Nisse Strinning and remains one of the most iconic designs in Scandinavian design history. In white, it appears particularly bright and airy. The delicate metal ladders recede beautifully into the background, while the white shelves lend the unit a calm, clean aesthetic.
The flexible ladder system can be adjusted as needed. The shelves and the glass-fronted cabinet can be freely repositioned and rearranged to suit your needs.
This particular unit features several open shelves and a glass-fronted cabinet with sliding glass doors. Behind the glass, you can display special pieces, ceramics, books, or smaller collectibles with a bit more protection, while the open shelves offer ample space for books, plants, magazines, or other beautiful everyday objects.
