Original school desk from France, 1930s design, production: 1930s-1950s.
The school desk, with its tubular steel frame connecting the desk to the chair, is height-adjustable. The wooden parts have been cleaned, lightly sanded, and oiled. The desktop is made of solid oak with an inset inkwell and a milled pen tray. The chair seat and backrest are made of plywood, and the desk tray is made of finger-jointed solid wood. The tubular steel frame was repainted by the previous owner.
