An absolute rarity. A beautiful ashtray from Hermès with an Indian elephant and leaf decoration. Elephants have a very special meaning in Hindu India, for example the large head stands for wisdom.
The rim is made of matt silver.
The base is covered with suede goatskin and embossed with 2 Hermès horses in gold.
