Ziegler carpets were first produced in the late 19th century by the renowned Swiss trading family Ziegler. Due to the political unrest of the Persian Empire and the strong demand for carpets from the West, Ziegler decided to set up its own production in Sultanabad, Pakistan, hiring some of the best carpet weavers to meet this growing demand. With the western market in mind, the first original carpet designs were successfully put into production in 1883. The rugs draw their inspiration from the classic Persian rug design from the Arak district of modern-day Iran. Ziegler rugs are extremely affordable and a great way to add a touch of sophisticated elegance to your home.
