This set of six Arcadia dining chairs was designed by Paolo Piva for B&B Italia during the 1980s. The design is characterised by its architectural silhouette and the distinctive cross-stitch detailing on the seat, which adds a subtle geometric element to the form. Each chair is fully upholstered in black leather, covering both the seat and the structural frame. The design features a high backrest and a distinctive metal ring detail at the rear base of the backrest, which serves both a functional and aesthetic purpose. The underside of the chairs retains the original B&B Italia branding and model identification. The chairs are in good condition, showing wear consistent with age and use. The leather has developed a natural patina over time, preserving the character of the original materials. These chairs are well-suited to a contemporary or postmodern dining space. Their strong lines and monochromatic palette allow them to pair effectively with a variety of dining table styles, from glass to solid wood.
