This 1930s floor lamp, attributed to designer Christian Dell, embodies the functional aesthetic of the Bauhaus style. Originally often used as a doctor's or examination lamp, this model is characterized by its clean, industrial design.
The lamp is made of chrome-plated metal and features a flexible gooseneck that allows for stepless adjustment of the light. A hemispherical reflector shade directs the light precisely, while the characteristic tripod base ensures stability. The height is adjustable between 110 cm and 140 cm. An original Bakelite rotary switch on the socket and the original rubber feet complete the design. Markings on the socket indicate its historical manufacture.
The lamp is in good, fully functional condition commensurate with its age. The original chrome plating and historical details have been preserved.
This piece integrates beautifully into modern or industrial-inspired interiors. It is ideal as a reading lamp next to an armchair or as a striking design object in a study.
