A very fine ORDO France executive desk, dating from the late 1960s, circa 1968.
A remarkable piece due to its proportions, materials, and aesthetic, typical of executive furniture from this period.
The desk features a magnificent rosewood veneer in dark brown tones, with a warm and elegant grain. It rests on a structure with clean, timeless lines, and includes two suspended drawer units.
The drawer units have their original working locks and keys. The interiors are lined with Bakelite, a particularly interesting detail for collectors of 1960s furniture.
The desk is also numbered and includes its ORDO identification markings, located under the drawers.
Dimensions:
160 cm long × 80 cm deep × 75 cm high.
Condition:
Very good overall condition for its age. The locking mechanisms are functional. There are some normal signs of wear consistent with its age and history. One leg could use a minor repair.
