This is the Raffles sofa, an iconic design by Vico Magistretti for the Italian brand DePadova. The design is a modern interpretation of classic, comfortable furniture from the colonial era, characterized by a relaxed and inviting appearance. The sofa is made with a wooden frame and is upholstered with a removable fabric cover in a light grey color. A characteristic detail of the Raffles design are the legs: two straight wooden legs at the back and two turned wooden legs with castors at the front, which gives the sofa a unique character and mobility. The construction is focused on comfort, with deep seats and soft cushions. This specific sofa is offered as a 'fixer-upper'. The sofa was purchased 24 years ago at Co van der Horst.
