Antique faux bamboo mirror with original mirror plate and a planked back, entirely in Chinoiserie style; this style was very popular during the Art Nouveau period. Originating from France, first half of the 20th century, marked on the back with a coat of arms and initials.
This beautiful wooden frame has been turned and worked to resemble real bamboo, hence the name faux bamboo. This piece bears a very beautiful weathered patina of age; the mirror glass is slightly speckled, which is common with very old mirrors.
This object is in very good antique condition, with light signs of age and use consistent with its age, and a few small chips from the ends of the wooden frame, but nothing bothersome. Check the photos for more details!
