Product description
Beautiful old Chesterfield style seat, ear chair, better known as wingchair, made from an oak base and upholstered in brown leather, the back is padded, first half of the 20th century.
Usually these seats were placed near a fireplace, the reason of the large side pieces, the so-called "wings", was to keep the radiant heat of the fireplace and to sit out of the draft, you can imagine how cozy that must have been, in addition, this armchair is very well seated, the seat is qualitatively manufactured and can last for many years.
The leather has a unique and very characterful use patina, the leather is in the right places decoratively weathered over the many years, very desirable!
The seat is in fine used condition, signs of age and use appropriate to its age, no holes or tears, some superficial cracks in the leather caused by age, signs of use on the wooden legs, check the photos for more details!
