We are pleased to present this English oil on canvas painting from the late 19th century. This splendid river landscape is signed "J. Paulman" at the bottom left. It is likely a work by the English painter Joseph Paulman, whose biography is little known, but who was active in England in the late 19th century, primarily painting river landscapes. Without authentication.
This is a very beautiful and pleasing painting, with a generously sized canvas. Its vertical format creates a strong visual impact in any setting.
