NX41 wall lamps by Louis Kalff for Philips, the Netherlands, 1950s
Beautifully crafted mid-century wall lamps designed by Louis Kalff for Philips in the 1950s. The NX41 model is a masterful blend of organic form and modern elegance. Each lamp features a curved teak wall mount that gently holds an opaline glass shade — the glass seemingly resting in the warm embrace of the wood. The combination of natural materials and soft, flowing lines gives the lamp a distinctly sculptural presence, while the light it emits is subtle and atmospheric.
In very good original condition, with one shade showing a minor chip on the bottom edge — barely visible and not distracting from the overall beauty. A wonderful example of Louis Kalff’s refined sense of balance and Philips’ superb craftsmanship, presented by Studio Haag.
