The De Sede DS-450 Sofa, also known as the 'Little Bestseller', is a timeless design by Thomas Althaus. It is the sofa that adapts to everything and everywhere. For Althaus, the fusion of creative versatility and reduction to the bare essentials was the essence of the sofa. Due to the functional versatility of its design, the DS-450 comes into its own in various interior styles. Many connoisseurs also see similarities between De Sede's vintage 'Reto Frigg' and this model. Both models are brilliant, functional, and a technical inspiration when it comes to sofas. The DS-450 is therefore also seen as a reintroduction of the Reto Frigg with a modern design and refined technology. It is a design that gives a futuristic impulse to existing sofas.
The beautiful DS-450 by De Sede is a true showpiece in any room. The sofa was initially designed as a further development of the DS-140. This sofa already had armrests that could be folded into footrests and a flexible back, a true revolution in the seating world. The DS-450 has been further developed and can set its armrests in five positions. In the lowest position, the armrest is flat, and when you rotate the seat ninety degrees forward, this part transforms into a footrest. Wonderful relaxation! If you want to relax optimally, you can pull a loop between the backrest and seat and adjust the backrest steplessly backward. This transforms your sofa into a two-person reclining armchair.
