This mushroom-shaped side table is a decorative piece of Mid - Century furniture that is strongly inspired by the organic and pop designs of the 1960s and 1970s.
The body is made of metal with a bulbous shape and a white, slightly textured surface. The upper part forms a high-contrast, high-gloss plate in deep red, the shape of which is reminiscent of a mushroom cap and whose color gradient from red to orange gives it a three-dimensional depth.
The design is both sculptural and functional - the table can be used as a side table next to a sofa or armchair, but it is also a design object in its own right that dominates the room with its striking shape and color scheme. Stylistically, the table can be categorized between pop art and space-age, it ties in with the playful furniture design of those years, as realized by various manufacturers in Italy and Germany.
