A very beautiful and rare piece of artistic glass with a "Scavo"/satin finish, featuring a particularly sophisticated, iridescent, mineral surface.
The decoration incorporates large, gilded metallic inclusions reminiscent of the AVVENTURINA and gold leaf techniques used in some Murano workshops.
The deliberately organic and almost volcanic surface texture evokes the aesthetic explorations of archaeological and mineral effects carried out in Murano in the 1970s.
The piece is signed "Cenedese" on the base.
Certain stylistic characteristics are reminiscent of the work of Antonio Da Ros for Cenedese, although no formal attribution has been made at this time.
