Chandelier body made of gilded metal.
Large and truly beautiful 5-light genuine Venetian chandelier with original Murano crystal drop pendants. The chandelier is antique, approximately 50-70 years old. The chandelier itself is handcrafted using typical Venetian/Florentine blacksmithing techniques, then primed, as is the cable canopy, and finished in matte gold leaf. Faceted prism pendants made of crystal glass adorn the candle holders. The five candle sockets are for standard E14 light bulbs. The crystal drops are made of genuine Murano glass, with larger drops on the chandelier arms made of crystal-clear glass, each featuring a small faceted crystal ball and a large clear crystal finial. The chandelier appears very authentic in person. All the original ornamentation is present and complete. Chandeliers like this are no longer available in regular stores. The chandelier body is handcrafted. The chandelier is well-suited to a high-ceilinged period building or a formal room. The chandelier is in its original condition. For rooms with lower ceilings, the chain can be shortened.
