The Fjord Swivel Armchair dates back to 2002, when designer Urquiola created her expanded Fjord collection. The first thing that stands out about this distinctive chair is, of course, the half-backrest. Because the armchair has a width of 95 cm, this characteristic design does not compromise comfort. In fact, the unconventional design offers the possibility to sit in the chair in multiple relaxed ways. A wide base ensures that the Fjord Swivel Armchair remains firmly on the ground and cannot tip over. The chair has a steel frame and is finished with white leather, featuring a filling of soft cold foam.
The Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola was born in 1961. After studying architecture at the universities of Madrid and Milan, she founded her own studio in 2001. Urquiola has received, among others, a Red Dot Award and a Good Design Award for its diverse design products.
