The Rivera collection offers a contemporary interpretation of retro elegance, reminiscent of a typical Mediterranean atmosphere. This project originated from a desire to experiment with contrasts and unique material combinations for outdoor spaces—lightweight stainless steel, the comforting warmth of wood, refined weaving techniques, and the astonishing elegance of fabrics—all of which contribute to transforming even outdoor spaces into intimate and cozy environments.
A sleek, handcrafted base of solid iroko heartwood supports an enveloping backrest of woven polypropylene fiber, available in light grey and dark brown. The weave pattern with a 'cannage' effect requires great skill and dexterity, as well as tireless and patient craftsmanship. The Rivera collection includes a two-seater and a three-seater sofa, armchairs, an ottoman, a coffee table, and a chair that define retro elegance in a contemporary language, using innovative materials that evoke sensations reminiscent of warm, typically Mediterranean settings, whether it be a lakeside veranda or a terrace overlooking the sea. A high-quality wood species, solid iroko heartwood—widely appreciated for its durability and water resistance—adds great value to the foundation of the carefully hand-finished Rivera seating elements. The unique shape of the cantilever wood frame, characteristic of the 98 cm deep armchair, the two-seater sofa, and the three-seater sofa, allows it to be used as a tabletop for glasses or other small items. The 84 cm deep Rivera armchairs—perfectly combined with the two-seater sofa—have restrained proportions and are also suitable for projects where space is limited.
The Rivera chair, with its compact design and graceful lines, embodies all the aesthetic values of the project and the ideal combination of materials. It rests on an undulating, pewter-like painted, tubular stainless steel structure that has been specially treated for outdoor use, just like the filling of the soft cushions, which is lined with waterproof fibers.
