MikoArt-Liquid Gloss®-01/AbstractSeries
In this painting, I present an abstract, geometric relief reminiscent of folded paper or origami. The surface consists of a strict grid of square planes, yet each plane is subtly creased, bent, or bulged, creating a strong three-dimensional effect. Light and shadow play a leading role: sharp folds capture the light, while deep creases cast soft shadows, thus suggesting movement within a solid structure. The color palette is rich and warm, with orange, yellow, and pink alternating with cool tones such as turquoise, blue, and purple. These colors do not blend into one another abruptly but appear to shift from plane to plane, as if each square carries its own emotion or temperature. Together, they form a harmonious yet lively whole.
The painting balances order and spontaneity: the strict geometry of the grid contrasts with the playful, almost organic distortions of the planes. It evokes associations with tactility and craftsmanship, as if you could touch the surface and feel the folds. At the same time, the work exudes modernity with almost digital precision. As a whole, the painting feels like a frozen moment of movement—a colorful composition in which structure, light, and color come together in a dynamic, contemporary abstract image.
