MikoArt-Giclée-02/FigurativeSeries
In this painting, I present an abstract portrait of Christ, in which traditional religious imagery has been abandoned in favor of a contemporary, symbolic representation. The face does not emerge from sharp contours, but from a layered grid of color planes and a fine, organic network that lies over the surface like fragile skin. The mosaic-like composition suggests the face: eyes, nose, and mouth are only partially recognizable and seem to appear and disappear within the structure. This gives the portrait a contemplative, almost mystical appearance. The multicolored palette—ranging from cool blues and greens to warm purples, pinks, and earth tones—refers to both humanity and spirituality.
The broken, net-like texture evokes associations with suffering, vulnerability, and sacrifice, but also with recovery and transformation. The contrast between dark areas and translucent colors intensifies the inner tension of the image: Christ as both a suffering human and a spiritual symbol. The work invites contemplation. It is not a literal representation, but an inner portrait—a visual meditation on faith, identity, and the layering of the human and the divine.
MikoArt-GicléeCanvas
For my Giclée canvas, I use an improved process on the latest generation of Epson printers. For my high-resolution inkjet prints, I use odorless, solvent-free Epson Ultrachrome® RS resin inks. These guarantee reliable colors of unprecedented quality on my canvas. To achieve this level of quality, I also use SuperResolution, UltraHD, and automatic image optimization. The matte surface of the canvas creates a vibrant effect, and the new cotton blend for the canvas ensures even more intense color reproduction and a natural look reminiscent of classical painting. The MikoArt Giclée canvas is ready to hang.
The artwork comes with a black shadow-joint frame, width 40 mm - depth 30 mm; a metal hanging system is attached to the back of the frame, allowing the artwork to be easily hung immediately.
