Mid-century oak cabinet on castors with sliding glass doors.
Likely Dutch or German production from the 1950s, possibly late 1940s transitional. Solid oak frame with glass panels on all sides and a lower shelf for additional storage. The upper section functions well as a display cabinet (vitrine) and has been used as a compact cocktail cabinet.
The glass sliding doors run smoothly and all panels are intact. The wood has been recently oiled and presents well, with normal signs of age and use.
Mounted on brass castors. The wheels turn, but the rubber is worn, so it is best used as a stationary piece unless refurbished.
A practical and characterful piece for a living room, dining area or studio—works equally well for glassware, books or objects.
