A beautiful and monumental vintage interior object. This is an original, handmade Italian ceramic egg topiary in the traditional Majolica/Bassano style. This type of trompe-l'œil pottery was extremely popular in the 60s and 70s and is currently a huge trend again in high-end and Hollywood Regency interior styling.
This specific piece stands out due to its exceptionally large size and the beautiful, natural color variations of the glazed eggs (from soft white to warm beige tones), separated by a detailed ceramic rope structure and finished with a moss rim at the base.

Origin: Italy (Bassano / Nove region, circa 1960-1970)
Height: A remarkable 51 cm (XXL size!)
Width: Approximately 27 cm
Condition: In absolutely undamaged, pristine condition. This is very rare for this type of fragile vintage pottery. Marks: No mark present (as is often the case with these authentic, artisanal family studios from that period).
