Large and stylish desk from Czechoslovakia, manufactured in the 1960s. The length of the tabletop is adjustable and can be mounted on either side of the cabinet – a well-thought-out solution that combines functionality with aesthetics. The contrasting combination of oak and mahogany gives this piece a distinctive elegance and refined character.
The desk has been fully restored inside and out and finished with hardwax oil. One of the legs has developed a slight, charming vintage curve over time (see the last two photos) – an authentic detail of its history.
