A set of four dining chairs designed by Ejner Larsen and Aksel Bender Madsen, two of the most respected figures of Danish mid-century furniture design. Produced in Denmark during the 1960s, the chairs perfectly embody the principles of Scandinavian Modernism, where elegance is achieved through refined proportions, quality materials, and exceptional craftsmanship.
Crafted from teak wood, the chairs showcase the warm colour and beautiful grain that have made this material a hallmark of Danish furniture. The most distinctive feature is the sculpted organic backrest, which flows naturally into the slender frame, creating a design that feels both light and remarkably balanced.
Chairs have been professionally and carefully restored by removing old coatings, staining and finishing with varnish. The restoration was carried out by a talented and experienced carpenter with over 20 years of experience. The seat was upholstered in a beige fabric made from recycled wool. Thanks to these treatments, the chairs look stunning and will serve their new owner for many years without fear of damage or wear and tear from everyday use.
Larsen and Bender Madsen became renowned for furniture that combined visual simplicity with outstanding comfort, and these chairs are a fine example of that philosophy.
