For sale is this magnificent and exceptionally large Art Nouveau trumpet vase (centerpiece) from around 1900/1910. With its impressive overall height of approximately 47 cm, it is a true eye-catcher and a real showpiece for collectors of Art Nouveau.
Details & Features:
Height: approx. 47 cm
Period: Art Nouveau (c. 1900–1910)
Glass: Mouth-blown, optically ribbed glass with a beautiful, iridescent mother-of-pearl sheen. The upper rim opens in a trumpet shape and tapers into an intensely light green, artfully wavy/pinched edge. Stylistically, it can be attributed to renowned Bohemian glassworks (such as Wilhelm Kralik & Sohn or Pallme-König).
Mount: Intricately openwork, floral metal base in the typical design of Historicism/Art Nouveau (WMF/Orivit style). The vase fits snugly in the collar.
Condition:
The vase is in good, well-maintained condition for its age, with a beautiful patina on the metal base.
As can be seen in the last picture, the metal base appears to be slightly warped, which is why the vase does not stand completely upright.
