Extraordinary bed designed by Luciano Frigerio and manufactured by the eponymous Frigerio company in Desio in the early 1970s, "Armonia" model. This fantastic piece of design was created by the sculptor and furniture maker in response to the Milanese minimalist movement of the time, which favored cleaner, simpler lines. However, it still retains the Frigerio signature, with 0.8 cm solid brass plates creating a "harmony" of movement. This piece comes with an original Certificate of Authenticity issued by the Frigerio Heirs and published in Domus 556 - March 1976, as pictured. Excellent condition, as shown in the photographs, with some minor signs of aging given its 50 years of age. Frequenting renowned workshops and meeting prominent figures such as Gio Ponti and Franco Albini inspired the transformation of the family business into an internationally oriented enterprise. In 1973, Frigerio was awarded the title of Commander of the Italian Republic, in recognition of his dedication to fine cabinetmaking. The defining element of his career emerged with the realization of his dream: one-of-a-kind furniture. Frigerio, supported by a team of technicians, created "Sculptural Furniture in Solid Wood" and "Sculptural Beds in Cast Bronze," representing a unique alternative to the industrial production of the time. These one-of-a-kind pieces embody artisanal excellence and the fusion of precious materials, positioning themselves as works of art in the design landscape. Collaborations with renowned Italian architects and designers, including Franco Albini, Sergio Asti, and Paolo Portoghesi, consolidated Frigerio's position in the design world.
