A rare Louis XVI style bedside table, exceptionally well-balanced in design and crafted with remarkable quality. This piece masterfully combines neoclassical elegance with refined marquetry.
■ The body is fully veneered, decorated on all sides with rosewood marquetry in a diamond pattern, finely framed with stringing, offering a subtle interplay of grain and beautiful depth.
■ The front features a drawer in the frieze above a door, the whole perfectly proportioned.
■ The top is made of veined white marble, carefully fitted with softened corners, adding a touch of elegance and great practicality.
■ The uprights are adorned with gilt bronze mounts featuring vegetal motifs, typical of the Louis XVI style, emphasizing the vertical lines of the piece. The handles (knob and ring) are also bronze, harmonizing with the overall design.
The piece rests on four tapered, turned legs, lending lightness and elegance to its silhouette.
