Louis XVI style hall lantern in brass and bronze, inspired by the Nanterre & Lyon Bronze Foundries.
The teardrop-shaped, cut crystal globe is set within a decorative brass and bronze frame adorned with ram's head mascarons and draped floral garlands around the upper rim.
Its appeal lies in the exceptional craftsmanship, particularly the sculpted details such as the ram's heads, which add a mythological and aristocratic dimension, as well as the finely cut crystal globe, which enhances its value.
Made in France in the early 20th century (circa 1910).
Very good condition.
Fully restored by a professional chandelier maker.
E27 socket, bulb not included, new gold-plated electrical wiring.
Waxed with microcrystalline wax to prevent oxidation of the brass and bronze.
