Product description
An elegant, bombé Louis XV style commode, stamped, with richly decorated marquetry and adorned with chased bronze mounts.
Its front opens with two drawers without a central rail, showcasing fine and balanced marquetry work. The hot stamp is visible on the side of one drawer (see photos), attesting to the quality of its craftsmanship.
The drawers are fitted with gilt bronze handles and keyhole escutcheons, decorated in a refined rocaille style.
The curved uprights and feet, terminating in bronze sabots, lend lightness and elegance to the piece.
The lower rail is embellished with a central chased bronze mascaron, emphasizing the decorative character of the piece.
The whole is surmounted by a veined Siena marble top, providing contrast and a touch of nobility, while offering a robust and elegant surface.
